The flight to Havana was all that you hope for: uneventful! We had to wait for 30 minutes after landing for a stand to be free and then have our carry on luggage scanned before being allowed in. We had a nice air conditioned Hyundai taxi to the hotel. This was in the old part of Havana and used to be a private house. It was built around a magnificent atrium and the room had 15' plus ceilings - but no windows.

The hotel is on the corner.

It was a bit gloomy because most of the light bulbs were missing. We unpacked, shared a grilled cheese sandwich and a couple of Cuba Libres and went to bed.
